Nurturing “Monozukuri” Talent through Community Communication

Mitsubishi Materials (MMC) group company Tamagawa Engineering, engaged in the manufacturing and maintenance of labor-saving machinery and equipment as well as in civil engineering and construction, is promoting the nurturing of “monozukuri” (Japanese-style manufacturing) talent. Company staff experienced in construction, machinery design, electrical control and welding are sent to local technical high schools as visiting instructors to teach the best parts of monozukuri. Each year, the company works with a local technical high school and holds the Robocon in Aizu (Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture) robot contest that provides a stage for everyone from primary school pupils to adults to enjoy doing battle with their robotic creations. The company will continue to nurture monozukuri talent and offer communication opportunities through activities such as these.
