Mitsubishi Electric has opened the “Collaborative Engineering Center (China)” within its local subsidiary Mitsubishi Electric Automation (China) Ltd., and has started developing factory automation (FA) applications at the center from April 1, 2022. Mitsubishi Electric Automation (China) Ltd., which specializes in the sales and service of FA products and industrial mechatronics products, noticed that in recent years there has been a growing need for a variety of specialist applications for FA products across a wide range of industries not least of which are automotive, logistics, and food and beverage as well as digital-related fields like semiconductors, electronic components, and data centers, and more recently decarbonization-related fields such as lithium-ion batteries. The new engineering center will strengthen the company’s capabilities to quickly and flexibly respond to the diversifying needs of local customers through application development leading to improved customer satisfaction, which will help expand its FA systems business in China.
