Head Office Building Wins Gold in MUSE Design Awards for Spatial Structure Based on the Concept “Create Synergy”

The Mitsubishi UBE Cement (MUCC) head office design created by KOKUYO Co., Ltd., has won a Gold MUSE Design Award in the Interior Design—Office category. Organized by the International Awards Associate in New York, the MUSE Design Awards are based on a mission to honor, promote and encourage creativity by providing a new standard of excellence for evaluating media design production and distribution. In April 2022, MUCC started business as the merger between the cement and other related operations of Mitsubishi Materials and UBE. The spatial structure of the head office building is based on the concept of “Create Synergy” for the integration of the two companies. Each zone is portrayed as an individual “village” in which the organizational units and spatial functions needed for business operation are integrated.
