| The Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festa supports international exchange among the children in Asia beyond national borders and ethnic groups. |

| The 9th Mitsubishi Asian Children’s Enikki Festa was held in 2008-2009. A total of 65,101 works were submitted by young artists aged 6 to 12. With the addition of Kazakhstan, the 9th Festa received works from 24 countries and regions. The International Screening was held in Tokyo on April 2, 2009 to review 192 works, which had been submitted after national screening in each participating country. Committee members selected winners for the Grand Prix, the Mitsubishi Public Affairs Committee Award, the National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan Award and the Excellence awards. |

Grasak
Some friends in our village formed a team to do Grasak dancing. That’s
like Jathilan dancing, which people do in Yogyakarta. The friends made their
own costumes from leaves and seeds. |

Our family celebrates the mooncake festival every year. We hang up lanterns and
candles around our house. We eat mooncakes during the mooncake festival.

Exhibitions are held in various locations in order to allow as many people as possible to appreciate the award-winning works. An exhibition of the 9th Festa was held in Nagano in September 2009 and C.W. Nicol, a juror on the International Screening Committee, participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Another exhibition of the 9th Festa was held in September 25-29, 2009, in Tokyo’s Marunouchi District. |
