The
sponsors of the Paris-Dakar Rally have acknowledged that
an error in time calculations cost Mitsubishi driver Hiroshi
Masuoka (photo) the overall championship. Masuoka finished
second behind fellow Mitsubishi driver Jutta Kleinschmidt
(Mitsubishi Monitor, April/May 2001). The official results
remain as originally announced. |
