April
is National Volunteer Month in the United States. Employees
at six Mitsubishi Electric operations there donated time
and effort to charitable endeavors on behalf of youth during
the month. The company contributed matching funds to the
different youth programs for every hour volunteered by the
employees.
In all, 100 employees, family members, and
friends volunteered 470 hours. They represented Mitsubishi
Electric operations in California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan,
and Virginia. The volunteers helped youth organizations
in their communities by planting flowers, clearing shrubs,
upgrading computers, and in other ways. And they say they'll
be back next year. |
