Space Communications launched HitPops TV on June 24, 2004,
a new satellite-plus-CATV Internet broadcast service offering
Internet television to existing cable broadband customers.
By any measure, the service looks to be an exciting development
for Internet surfers. HitPops TV reaches 90 CATV providers
serving 14 million broadband customers of HitPops, the company's
broadband delivery service. A flagship, 24-hour entertainment
news station has been launched to highlight HitPops TV's
dedicated channel network.

Unlike conventional and digital TV,
that rely on numerous broadcast stations to reach viewers'
receivers, HitPops TV transmits programming from its data
center via satellite to local cable stations/service providers,
and thence through standard CATV broadband Internet connections
to end users. HitPops TV is viewable through computer Internet
browsers and free to 14 million households with cable broadband
service.

service's inauguration.

Live/archived feeds of sports events,
movies, music and festivals are available online.
By combining the strengths of each medium, such as satellites'
ability to bypass the heavy user traffic or circuit demand
on central Internet servers, and broadband's ability to
deliver interference-free signals even in the city, Space
Communications assures that Internet TV viewers can count
on a smooth, clear, uninterrupted IP multicast signal.
With the activation of the service, HitPops TV is now building
up participation by new content providers who, like 24-hour
entertainment news channel "Showbiz 365," wish
to offer dedicated programming not available from traditional
TV networks. It is also approaching sponsors with value-added
advertising plans utilizing the interactive benefits of
the Internet.
