Mitsubishi Monitor Volume 18, No.3 June & July 2004
“Mitsubishi” is more than 40 independent companies who honor the same basic guiding principles.
The companies conduct their business activities separately but cooperate in areas like philanthropy and public affairs.

In a project that looks both to preserve the past and the future, Dai Nippon Toryo's anti-corrosive, environment friendly "Green Bosei Quick Dry" coating is playing a key role in a major project to restore one of the largest wooden structures in the world, Higashi Hongwanji Temple in Japan's ancient capital of Kyoto.
As a key step of an initiative to save this aging Buddhist temple of great historic value, it is being covered by a structure to protect it from wind, rain and other weather. Green Bosei is being used to coat steel sections of the protective structure, including the roof, supporting beams and girders. Construction is scheduled for December 2008.
Green Bosei contains no lead or chromium, and is also free of toluene and xylene. These features make it non-polluting, but the main reason it was chosen was that it is recognized for highly effective rust prevention. In use, Green Bosei becomes a tough, weather-beating coating with superior adhesion to steel surfaces. Dai Nippon Toryo has taken the lead in the development of products that meet the growing demand for green purchasing, turning a potentially restrictive environmental policy to its market advantage.
