● Shanghai, a city with a spirit born from the combined strengths of East and West, has unique characteristics. After the city was opened to trade with foreign countries in the mid-1800s, thousands of foreigners came to live in Shanghai. Even now, you still can find many well-kept historical and elegant buildings of worldwide renown.
  ● Today’s Shanghai has become a symbol of China’s economic development with her modern constructions and unique and elegant brand shops.
  ● We at Nikon Imaging (China) Sales Co., Ltd.,

established in Shanghai in June 2005, always pay close attention to China’s development. In the autumn of last year, Nikon’s influential photo contest “Nikon in China” aroused great interest among photography enthusiasts, and we received more than 7,000 competition entries. The same year, we also worked closely with the China Photographers Association and the Shanghai Municipal Government to launch the 4th “Outstanding Historic Architecture shooting contest.” In this competition, more than 5,000 photographers shared their beautiful works with us.
  ● As is well known, China has some of the world’s foremost World Heritage Sites. With these contests, our intention is to help more local people recognize the importance and respect China’s splendid historical heritage.
  ● Since its establishment in Shanghai two years ago, Nikon Imaging (China) Sales Co., Ltd., has actively participated in China’s cultural development. From now on, China will attract more attention from the world for the coming 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and 2010 Shanghai EXPO.
  ● As a global brand enterprise, we hope Nikon will keep progressing together with China’s development. If you visit China, we hope you will find an old, historical and constantly developing new China.
