● Hello from the city so nice they named it twice, New York, NY. Named after the Duke of York and Albany, the City of New York was actually the first capital city of the United States before it was moved to Washington DC in 1790. It has since become a capital for the world, with its business, legal, financial and media organizations having worldwide influence.
  ● Being a main immigration port since the late 19th century, New York City has become a virtual melting pot of a majority of the world’s cultures. From the stores in China Town to the restaurants of Little Italy, many different cultures have made the 5 boroughs of New York City what they are today. What other city could be the home for the United Nations?
  ● New York City is also a large tourist hub for those traveling in the U.S. or for those traveling from points around the world. Every day visitors admire the greatness of the Statue of Liberty or get a full view of the city from the top of the Empire State Building. Visitors also get to experience the fine arts the city has to offer. There are many history and art museums one can get lost in. Or one can take in a show or musical on Broadway.
  ● The city also takes pride in the many major sports teams and sporting venues that call New York City home. The New York Yankees are the most decorated baseball team, winning 26 World Championships. Every summer the tennis world converges on the city for the U.S. Open. Madison Square Garden has been the venue for some of the most famous sporting events, including the first fight between Joe Frazier and Muhammed Ali.
  ● Many worldwide businesses have their U.S. offices based here in New York City. Tokio Marine Management, Inc. (TMM) has been managing the U.S. operations of Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. since 1976. TMM has over 400 employees nationwide and works with many of the major insurance brokers and independent agencies to provide safety and peace of mind to our customers.
  ● I have had the fortune of working with TMM since May of 2000. The growth in our operations has coincided with the growth of my career. I began as a Benefits Administrator with our Human Resources Department. I have since moved to our Administration Department handling the company’s facilities. It is my duty to maintain the office infrastructure, so that TMM may be able to provide excellent service to our customers. I take pride in being the background support for all of TMM’s employees.
