The soft rumble of huge ship engines; a soft tropical breeze that sweeps in from the vast open ocean; a sunset that sets the sky aflame in a cascade of colors; excellent food... A journey on a luxury cruise liner is certainly something special—particularly so, according to recent polls by renowned travel magazines, if you happen to be traveling with Crystal Cruises Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of NYK.
In July 2007, the readers of Travel + Leisure selected Crystal Cruises as the “World’s Best Large-Ship Cruise Line” for the 12th year in a row.
The magazine’s subscribers were allotted one vote each and asked to rate cruise ship operators on their cabins, food, service, itineraries and destinations, activities and overall value for money.
Then, just three months later, readers of the U.S. magazine Condé Nast Traveler voted the company the “Best Large-Ship Cruise Line.” This honor comes on top of a vote conducted in 2006, when the same magazine branded the company’s two luxury cruise ships, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, the “Best Cruise Ships in the World.”
Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity are true giants of the sea, both well over 200 meters long and capable of carrying around 1,000 guests. Both have also won numerous awards throughout the industry and continue to be recognized as two of the most luxurious ships currently traversing the world’s oceans.
Inspired by the latest award, Crystal Cruises and NYK will continue their efforts to offer the highest level of service to customers.
