Bootharadane
Our area is famous for old traditions. For example, we have the Bootharadane
temple rituals for worshipping the mythical gods and goddesses.
It usually takes place from February to May. It has an all-night celebration
that includes fire dancing and brass music. The priest prays for prosperity of
the village. At the end, everyone gets prasadam holy food. |
