Started in 1990, the Mitsubishi Asian Children’s Enikki Festa is a program that seeks to promote literacy education and to stimulate cultural exchange among children by allowing them to learn about each other through “enikki”(illustrated diaries).

My mother and I visited a village on Inlay Lake during summer vacation. Inlay is a special place that we can reach only by boat and is a popular tourist attraction. We cannot get there by oxcart. It is the only place in the world where we can see people rowing boats with their legs. The houses stand above the water. The lake is beautiful, and we had a lot of fun.
I would like to live there.
