| I joined Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (China), Ltd. (BTMU (China)) as a member of the preparatory group
for the opening of Qingdao Branch in April, 2011. Although it’s not a very long time, I feel proud and happy
to work here. BTMU (China) provides me with a good chance to improve myself, and I have learned a lot since I joined BTMU (China). With the efforts of
my colleagues, BTMU (China) Qingdao Branch
successfully opened on August 30, 2011, the
ninth branch in China. We held the opening party
on October 19, 2011 and it was attended by 170
guests, including some governors and

|
customers.
Our branch has a staff of 55, three of whom are
Japanese and 52 local.
Qingdao is located on the eastern coast of
China. It is well known for its landscapes and pleasant weather. The seaside, blue sky, green trees and German-style buildings are all very attractive. Every
year, thousands of people come to visit Qingdao. Due to the effect of the marine environment, the southeast
monsoon and the ocean current, the urban areas experience the distinctive features of a marine climate: humid
air, moderate temperatures, neither too hot in summer nor too cold in winter. As a fast-growing coastal city, a
historical and cultural city and a key landscape preservation city, development of the ecological environment
and residential housing in Qingdao has been advanced upholding the concept of “beautiful environment and
comfortable habitation.” It has been acknowledged as one of the
best cities in China for business creation and for living in. Besides the
comfortable living environment, Qingdao is also famous for beer. The
best-known local brand is Tsingtao beer and I believe everyone knows
it. It has become one of the most famous brands in the world. Every
summer, starting the second weekend of August, Qingdao hosts the
largest beer festival in Asia. During this period, lovers of beer from all
over the world gather in Qingdao to celebrate this grand festival. The economy of Qingdao is doing very well.
In June, 2011,
| the world’s longest bridge across the ocean was completed. It connects the urban area with the Economic and Technical Development Zone, which promotes the development of Qingdao. I believe that given this excellent environment BTMU (China) Qingdao Branch will develop faster and better. |

We, the staff of BTMU (China) Qingdao Branch, value our
work very much. But work is not the only thing of our life. In
our spare time, we arrange activities like climbing and playing
basketball which not only make our life more colorful but also
help us get along well with each other.
Living in Qingdao, I feel so happy. Working at BTMU (China),
I feel so happy. And I believe and hope that there will be
opportunities for you to join us and share this happiness. |

MRC GOLF INC. is one of the premier designers and manufacturers of high-performance carbon fiber golf shafts
in the world. Situated between Los Angeles and San Diego in the city of Carlsbad, MRC GOLF is located just
30 minutes north of downtown San Diego and Sea World, and only one hour south of Orange County which is
home to Laguna Beach and Disneyland – an ideal spot for work and play!
Mitsubishi Rayon has been developing premium carbon fiber golf shafts
worldwide for more than 25 years based out of Tokyo and Toyohashi, Japan. When
looking to open offices in the U.S. in order to grow our global business and get a
foothold in the large North American market, it was obvious that Carlsbad,California,
was the ideal location. Often referred to as the “Golf Capital of The World,” many of
the world’s leading golf brands such as Titleist, Taylor-Made Adidas, Callaway, and
Cobra-Puma are situated just minutes away.
Since opening our doors in 2004 under the name of MRC GOLF INC., Mitsubishi
Rayon has grown to become one of the leading suppliers of premium carbon fiber
golf shafts in the U.S. and European markets. We have become a force on the
professional golf tours worldwide and in fact many of the world’s best professional
golfers and leading premium brands currently use Mitsubishi Rayon golf shafts. |

| As one of the original employees of MRC Golf, I have
seen our team grow to 12 members since establishing
operations in 2004. Although our team may be
considered small, we are responsible for all aspects of our
shaft business locally. We develop and launch our own
branded products for the North American and European
markets, support tour operations for the men’s and women’s professional golf tours in the U.S. and Europe, and manage the shaft development and delivery of our
products to support our major OEM (original equipment manufacturing) customers. |
|
|
In order to accomplish this, the job demands a great deal of global travel for our team. We are often reviewing
production in Asia with an OEM partner, visiting distributors in Europe, or attending the latest tour stop to
promote our next-generation products. Someone from MRC Golf is always on the go. There is never a shortage
of things to do for our team and we are well supported by our corporate office in Tokyo and our engineering
team in Toyohashi!
When I’m not traveling, I try to spend as much time as possible
with my family and friends enjoying all that Southern California has to
offer. With some of the best beaches and cities in the world so close
to where I live and work, I enjoy exploring new places, finding new
restaurants, boating with family and
| friends, and playing golf as much as possible. With a young daughter at home, the rounds the world’s of golf seem to be harder to come by than times past, but where there is a will there is a way and I always seem to find a way. So the next time you and your family plan a trip to Southern California look me up… maybe I’ll have room in my next foursome for another Mitsubishi family member! |
