as also manifested in the Mangrove Planting Project which

| NYK and Tokio Marine Holdings (Tokio Marine & Nichido
Fire Insurance) were selected as two of the six Japanese
companies among 145 companies named in the 2012 list
of the World’s Most Ethical Companies published in March
by the Ethisphere Institute, a U.S. think-tank. First selected
in 2008, NYK has been on the Ethisphere list five years in a
row now and was the only shipping company to be selected
this year. The Tokio Marine Group was named in the list
mostly for the Green Gift Project and the Mangrove Planting
Project and other initiatives aimed for the conservation of
the environment and preservation of biodiversity. |

| Asahi Glass (AGC) will begin educational support for poor
children and young people, centering on Guaratinguetá,
São Paulo State, Brazil, where AGC Glass Brazil is located,
in cooperation with Ayrton Senna Institute¹ and Casa

| educational materials. In its partnership with Casa Betânia,
AGC will support the organization to expand the capacity of
their facility to accommodate more children and establish a
job training center. On April 18, AGC announced these
activities at the cornerstone-laying ceremony held in
Guaratinguetá, where AGC Glass Brazil is currently
constructing a plant. Through its business activities in
Brazil, which are continuing to develop, AGC will provide
products and services that help realize a comfortable and
convenient lifestyle, and will contribute to the development
of local communities by conducting support activities. |

| Yantai Mitsubishi Cement Co., Ltd., a joint venture between
Mitsubishi Materials and Mitsubishi Corporation,
on April 5 this year commissioned a waste heat power generating system
that it began |

| total amount of fuel used to generate power at the cement
factory and to cut CO2 emissions. The waste heat power
generating system has a capacity of 4,350 kW. This is
equivalent to 25% of the power used at the cement factory
and will help cut CO2 emissions by some 16,500 tons a
year. |
