JX Holdings, Inc. subsidiary JX Nippon Oil & Energy in June introduced a new energy diagnostic service targeting private households. Through the new service the company will diagnose the actual state of energy use in a household and provide know-how on the best ways to save energy and electricity, presenting the customer with an “energy life plan.” The company will be providing the service through its dealerships and gas suppliers throughout Japan, it will be giving training on energy saving techniques and the diagnostic flow process mainly to the personnel who visit households on regular gas inspections. The company plans to train a team of around 1,000 energy diagnosticians by the end of fiscal 2013.
JX Holdings is confident this free-of-charge diagnostic service will help its customers to reduce their energy and electricity use, something particularly important to the Japanese after the Great East Japan Earthquake disaster.
