Mitsubishi Jisho Residence |
|
| This is the first apartment building to be constructed to Mitsubishi Jisho Residence’s
“Smart Select Concept” for next-generation condominium apartment buildings which
give concrete form to the various demands and wishes of customers. The new Smart
Select Concept embodies three main elements: using the Skeleton-infill system to
allow a flexible choice of room arrangement in a simple and reasonably-priced format;
rules which are not hard-and-fast regulations; and an eco-friendly approach. The
latter includes the adoption of its “soleco” system, a collective-access high voltage
connection combined with solar panels, to reduce power consumption and of its new
“sölev” system which provides dedicated power sockets for electric vehicle battery
charging, which is easy on the environment and on household finances. |

| The F Series room air conditioner is designed for use in European markets, with a
primary focus on the north European region. To accommodate the unique way air
conditioning is used in northern Europe where air conditioners are combined with
radiators and other heating/ventilation equipment, the series focuses on energy-saving
operation for lower power bills, and avoids the interruption of air conditioning due to
equipment failure. In addition, advanced features such as the 3D i-see sensor and
independent left and right outlet vanes realize efficient and uniform air flow throughout
the room. The jury was impressed by the simple design which gives expression to the
“smart” qualities of this high-end model and its overall boxy lines which convey a sense
of robustness. |

| The Urban Flyer O-type is the
second-generation Chiba City
Monorail train. The cars, symbol
mark and naming of the new
trains have all been designed
with “Sky” as the development
concept to express the urban
identity of the monorail system
itself. The jury was impressed
by the overall design of the

Kirin Brewery
|
|
| Grand Kirin is a specialty premium beer which lets the
consumer fully appreciate the richly robust flavor and
lingering aroma of this rich malt and dip hop brew just
from a single bottle. The new premium glass bottle
developed specially for the beer has a wide mouth that
fits comfortably between the lips and has the same feel
as if drinking out of a glass. In addition to the bottle’s
upscale styling, the jury cited its eco-friendliness in being
the lightest bottle in Japan and its easy-to-use design
stemming from it having the same height and diameter
as a 500 ml can. |
