History of Robertson’s Ready Mix,

Established in 1969, Robertson’s Ready Mix has a strong presence in the ready-mix and aggregate industry. Starting business in what is known as the Inland Empire, a metropolitan region in Southern California, the company has expanded to surrounding areas such as, Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange, Kern, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties, under the guidance and leadership of Dennis Troesh and his family. The Troesh family began a partnership with MCC Development Corporation (a joint venture holding company between Mitsubishi UBE Cement Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation) in the early 90’s. Robertson’s has continued to grow into what it is today. Currently operating with over 50 ready-mix batch plants and 13 aggregate quarries in Southern California and Las Vegas, Nevada. Roberton’s promises a healthy and strong future in the industry.

Life at Robertson’s

My journey with Robertson’s began in November 1999, when I was 21 years of age. Already a young family man with a wife and two small children, life was moving fast. At that time, Robertson’s had approximately 20 batch plants and 4 quarries. I was hired into the Parts Department of the Fleet Maintenance Division. As the company grew, I also grew. Later, in 2006, I became the Parts Department Manager.
In 2017, my career took a slight turn I was transferred to Robertson’s Human Resources Department as the manager. As the HR manager, I engaged with approximately 2,000 employees in Robertson’s Ready Mix and Robertson’s Transport. This experience broadened my view of Robertson’s as a whole. All the employees were extremely welcoming, hardworking, and dedicated to say the least. Quality work has always been part of the Robertson’s Team motto. It has been 25 years now and for the last five of those years, I have been serving as General Manager - Procurement and Fleet Maintenance. Working with Robertson’s and Mitsubishi team leaders has been a great privilege.

Living in California, Inland Empire / So-Cal Living

California is one of the best places to live in the United States. Coming in at number 3 in size by area, it is the most populous state in the U.S. and home to the most theme parks in the nation as well. This is especially true in Southern California where you can find Disneyland, Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, and Knott’s Berry Farm to name but a few. In summer you can run to the beaches to escape the heat or to the mountains for a short winter vacation. Also, the state is home to a very diverse population, meaning one can enjoy a wide variety of cuisine, from street food to upscale dining, from just about every culture in the world. If watching sports is your thing, there are great Basketball, Baseball, Football, Soccer, and Hockey stadiums where one can enjoy time with family and friends.
