About Taipei, Taiwan.

Taipei City, the capital of Taiwan, was listed in the 2020 Global City Index by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network (GaWC) as an “Alpha” world city, alongside cities such as Seoul, Dublin, Zurich, San Francisco, and Luxembourg.

Taipei City’s economy is predominantly oriented towards the tertiary sector (services), with the secondary sector (industry) following closely behind and the primary sector (agriculture, forestry, fishery, and animal husbandry) accounting for only a small portion. Primary areas of growth include retail and wholesale, financial services, the exhibition industry, information and communication technology (both software and hardware), biotechnology, and others.

Besides its prosperous industries and economic hubs that outshine those of other Taiwanese cities and counties, Taipei is the top choice for the majority of overseas tourists. With 19 nationally designated historic sites, 180 municipally designated historic sites, 329 historical buildings, and five commemorative structures, Taipei leads the way in terms of both cultural landmarks and museums that showcase its unique appeal. Taipei’s other attractions are diverse and vibrant and span its various regions, from natural sanctuaries like the Taipei City Waterbird Refuge and Guandu Nature Park to urban green spaces such as Daan Forest Park and cultural hotspots like the Jianguo Holiday Flower and Jade Market and Treasure Hill. Activities such as shrimp fishing, temple visits for blessings and lighting of the Guangming Lights, and praying for new love are all integral parts of the Taipei lifestyle, making it an ideal destination for family outings. Additionally, Taipei’s annual events, like the Taipei New Year City celebration and the Taipei 101 New Year’s Eve fireworks display, as well as the Taipei Lantern Festival, are enjoyed by people of all ages.

Through the creation of a friendly city image and offering diverse and enriching tourism experiences, Taipei has captured the attention of global travelers, earning its place in recommended lists published by travel magazines and online media such as Lonely Planet, Fox News, and BuzzFeed.

According to OpView’s analysis of comments on the Tripadvisor website, Taipei’s top 10 attractions in 2017 for international tourists included Taipei 101, the National Palace Museum, Lungshan Temple, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Shilin Night Market, Maokong Gondola, Xiangshan Hiking Trail, Ximending, Taipei Zoo, and Raohe Street Night Market.

Attractions such as Beitou Hot Springs, Xingtian Temple, the National Martyrs’ Shrine, and Yangmingshan National Park also received glowing reviews from international visitors.

Representative Office, in Taipei in April 2012. Serving as a stable and sustainable platform for the company’s overseas factory construction projects, the office obtained construction permits from the Taiwanese government for individual projects and collaborated with commercial partners to ensure their successful completion. The company has also collaborated with numerous Japanese enterprises in executing projects such as new factory construction, expansion, and modification, playing a crucial role in the development of Japanese chemical businesses in Taiwan. During this time, the company has received exceedingly positive feedback from clients for its product performance, quality, safety, and engineering management expertise. With a commitment to enhancing customer service, Mitsubishi Kakoki Kaisha aspires not only to earn the trust of Japanese enterprises but also to gain the confidence of local Taiwanese businesses. It established its Taiwan branch office in October 2021 to be able to promptly meet customer expectations.
In 2018, I had the privilege of joining the company on secondment, serving as a site assistant. I participated in various engineering projects, was primarily responsible for administrative tasks at the site office, and provided translation support. Each project I worked on provided me with invaluable experience, which I utilized to enhance my contributions to subsequent projects. While my efforts may have been modest, I am committed to making a positive difference. I am deeply appreciative of the company’s trust and, in 2023, I transitioned to a permanent role, eager to contribute my skills and play an active role in the company’s success.
