My career
I am currently the Director of Human Resources at MSSC IINC., based in Troy, Michigan, USA. My journey with MSSC began in 2012 in my hometown of Chatham, Ontario, Canada, where I started as a Human Resources Generalist. In 2019, I was promoted to Corporate Human Resources Manager in Troy, Michigan, and by 2021, I had assumed my current role as Director of Human Resources. My key responsibilities include managing employee and labor relations, labor law compliance, organizational training programs, health and safety initiatives, retirement and health care plan administration, corporate risk management, and HR compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards. I also lead MSSC’s sustainability and social responsibility initiatives and serve as a coach and mentor throughout the organization.
In my leadership capacity, I oversee the Human Resources function across all four MSSC locations in North America. I lead a team of HR professionals at each of our three manufacturing sites, including Human Resources Managers, Generalists, Environmental Health and Safety Specialists, and a Training Coordinator. I am immensely proud of my HR teams for their unwavering commitment to supporting every member of the organization, fostering a positive workplace culture, championing employee safety and well-being, and ensuring that MSSC’s values are reflected at every level.
In addition, the HR teams at each MSSC facility go beyond their core responsibilities, serving as liaisons between employees and local charities. Their leadership in organizing and coordinating charitable activities ensures MSSC’s values are reflected in meaningful support for local communities.

In 2025, the team filled the collection box three times over, donating a total of 21 kilograms of caps—a testament to their commitment and compassion.

Beyond my professional accomplishments, I find my greatest fulfillment in my role as a parent. I am immensely proud of my two children, who continue to inspire me both personally and professionally. My eldest is completing her fourth year at university, preparing for a career in nursing, while my son has begun his first year of college and aspires to become a millwright, a skilled tradesman who installs, maintains, and repairs heavy machinery and industrial equipment. In my free time, I can be found unwinding at a cottage, exploring scenic hiking trails, or boating on the region’s tranquil lakes. I embrace the outdoors as a source of inspiration and balance. My enthusiasm for the Detroit Lions Football team brings friends and family together, as I delight in hosting lively game-day gatherings.
As I reflect on my journey with MSSC, I am continually inspired by the dedication and teamwork of our employees whose dedication, drive and commitment forms the backbone of MSSC. Across all our sites, these individuals not only drive operational excellence but also embody our values through their daily actions and community involvement. It is this collective sense of purpose, shared by every member of our organization, that motivates me to lead with integrity, empathy, and enthusiasm for the future.
