Celebrating 150 Years: OurActivities

The birthplace of the founder of Mitsubishi, Yataro Iwasaki, is the present-day Aki in Kochi Prefecture. Yataro's birth home is still preserved in Inokuchi, Aki, till this day. The Aki Tourist Information Center, located a few minutes by car from Yataro's birth home, not only provides tourist information about the eastern area of Kochi, but also passes on the spirit of Yataro Iwasaki. For the Center's full-scale renewal on March 28, 2020, the Mitsubishi 150th Anniversary Project Committee supported the heritage of Yataro Iwasaki's achievements in his hometown. At the Center, visitors can watch videos with Yataro Iwasaki as the main character and also view document exhibits.
